The Cumberland County School's Integrated Academic & Behavior Systems Department focuses on implementing and sustaining a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework that fosters comprehensive pathways for all individuals by removing barriers, promoting rightful access to resources, and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement. Implementation of MTSS Framework: Support the development and execution of the MTSS Framework, ensuring that data-driven practices are utilized to meet the diverse needs of students.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with educators, administrators, and support staff to coordinate efforts in addressing academic and behavioral challenges faced by students.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze student performance and behavioral data to inform decision-making and improve support strategies.
Behavioral Support: Provide guidance and interventions for students exhibiting emotional, cognitive, or conduct-related disorders, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
Training and Professional Development: Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in behavior management and academic support.

Multi-Tiered System of Supports
We hope to provide a roadmap of the essential actions for Tier 1: Core Support (100%), Tier 2: Supplemental Support (15%), and Tier 3: Intensive Support (1-5%).
This provides and overview of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) as well as a bank of interventions for all grade levels in the areas of Math, ELA, Behavior, Social/Emotional, Fine and Gross Motor and Executive Functions.
In addition research based interventions that are embedded in our curriculum are available in the areas of Math, ELA and Elementary Science. There are help documents to lead you to all embedded resources.
Use of this Resource: This resource is intended to be used by classroom teachers, administrators, and Student Support Teams (SSTs) when designing and developing interventions for students. All of the interventions provided are research based.
